Alrajhi bank credit card provide access to airport lounges worldwide through Visa Airport Companion app

Effective 2 February 2026, and in accordance with Visa’s instructions, the eligibility criteria will be applied for access to airport lounge services. Eligibility and continued access to the service are subject to the policies of the Visa Airport Companion program. alrajhi bank shall not be held liable for any changes made by Visa to the service terms & conditions or eligibility criteria.

The number of airport lounge access entitlements after meeting the eligibility criteria, as per the card type, is as follows:

 Eligibility Criteria
  • Cardholders must complete international purchase transactions with a cumulative value equivalent to USD 100 within the preceding (90) days to be eligible for airport lounge access.
  • No complimentary airport lounge visits are available unless the eligibility requirement has been met.
  • Eligibility is fulfilled through purchase transactions made using the card at POS or online merchants outside KSA, and it may take up to (15) days for the transaction to be reflected in airport lounge service provider systems.
  • If the complimentary access limit including guest visits is exceeded, an additional fee of USD 32 per person per visit will apply.
  • Lounge access eligibility is reset every (90) days, and the eligibility requirement must be met again to continue using the service.

Q: Can I continue using my plastic card to access airport lounges as before?

A: No, you will not be able to access airport lounges using your plastic card. You will need to register in the Visa Companion Airport app to enjoy the lounge access feature.

Q: Do I need to add the details of my credit or prepaid card in the app?

A: Yes, you need to add your card details to register in the app. If your card is reissued due to loss, theft, or expiration, you will also need to update your information accordingly.

Q: Do I need to register at the airport lounge itself upon arrival?

A: No, you should complete your registration via the Visa Companion Airport app before arriving at the lounge to ensure a smooth entry experience.

Q: Can I bring a guest to the lounge?

A: Yes, you can bring a guest. If the conditions are not met, an additional entry fee for each guest will be charged to your registered card.

Q: Is there a website for this service? What if I don’t have a smartphone?

A: No, the Companion Airport Visa app is a fully digital experience and cannot be used without a smartphone.

Q: Can I register more than one card on the app?

A: Yes, you can add multiple cards to your Companion Airport Visa account. Go to the membership page, select "Add New Membership," and then enter the details of your other card. Once the card details are verified, a new membership linked to that card will be created. You can easily switch between memberships using the "Switch Membership" option on the membership page.

Q: How does the registration process work if I have additional cards issued for family members?

A: Each supplementary cardholder must register their own account in the Companion Airport Visa app using their personal information, including their name as listed in their passport and their email address. Lounge staff will verify the name in the Companion Airport Visa app profile, and entry will be denied if it does not match the cardholder’s identification.

Q: Can I access the lounge if I don’t have Wi-Fi or mobile data connection?

A: Yes, you can enable offline access when registering, but this must be done while the app is connected to the internet. You can also manage this feature from the "Account" section under "Security Settings."

Q: Is lounge access guaranteed?

A: Lounge access is subject to availability on the travel day. If the lounge is full, we recommend checking the app for alternative lounges you can visit.

How to register and use Visa Airport Companion app

  • Download the Visa Airport Companion app.
  • Create an account and sign in
  • Enter your alrajhi bank card details
  • Wait a few moments for the card validity to be verified through 0 USD authorization.
  • An OTP verification code will be sent to your mobile number or email for verification.
  • Create a password to use when logging into the app.
  • Registration completed successfully.

You must check the activation of the online purchase option to verify the eligibility and validity of the card by following these steps:

  • Log in to the alrajhi bank app.
  • Select the eligible card.
  • Click on "Settings."
  • Click on "Card Stop Options."
  • Click on "Card Control."
  • Activate "Online Payments."

To find participating airport lounges and get more information on access:

  • Choose “Explore Lounges” from the home page.
  • Search for and select the airport, as well as the available terminals.
  • Select the desired lounge.
  • Choose “Walk-in”.
  • The digital membership/QR code has been issued.
  • Present your digital membership upon arrival at the lounge.
